Oh those golden slippers!

My golden slippers are peeling, the heels are worn down, I've danced my last dance in them. They're worn out. They're my second pair of dancing shoes, but these are my much loved golden dancing shoes.

When your feet are shod in shiny gold, you just dance faster and better. You twist this way and that, and your feet can keep pace with the music. I also have a red dancing skirt with deep ruffles of golden tissue around the edge of the skirt. I dance better when I wear that skirt. While I dance, I flip up the edges with my fingers and watch the golden tissue drift down into place again. It's kind of flirty on a skirt. There's something about dancing in gold, especially wearing golden slippers.

After I took the photo of my dancing shoes I threw them away. One more memory to keep. Now I need to find another pair of golden shoes - or should I get red ones covered in sequins? The possibilities are endless, but they need to be comfy because when you're 71 and still dancing you need happy feet too. I can't complain about that, can I?

  1. I'd go for the red... but I agree with the comfy part.

I look forward to seeing what you end up picking out. Do please show us!
